For the past three years I've been developing a new type of EPOS (Stock control) system for clothing stores.
The system is a web based product that can be rented or purchased providing retail outlets with a low cost simple way to manage stock in their stores.
It provides the ability to easily check stock levels, work as a point of sale till, transfer stock between stores and perform most major functions required for stock control in a busy store. (refunds, credit notes etc)
The major benefits of the system are that it runs as a web application and can be hosted with a normal web hosting provider; running a system in this way allows for any number of stores to link into the system simply by having a broadband connection into the shop. Also shop owners can login securely from any Internet connected computer and view realtime sales and stock statistics, even over some mobile phones !
One broadband connection can be used for up to ten till points in each store and the system handles unlimited remote shops.
The system can also integrate with an online Internet shop (e-commerce) so that the stock levels in the high street stores are reflected on the web store. If a product is sold in the store the Internet site will automatically show one less item in stock, perfect for the smaller retailer.
