Siemens Plc Desktop Support Team 1995 - 1996
The Desktop Support Team provided second and third line support to end users on a site containing 600 desktop computers. I was part of a team of three Support Analysts working alongside the Helpdesk providing the day to day support within strict SLA contracts. I was instrumental in creating Siemens first Intranet site which included an online phone book. Further responsibilities included installation of Windows 95 as part of a roll-out, troubleshooting daily problems with workstations running Msoffice, Windows 3.11 and various in house systems. Siemens also had a vast amount of remote users and one of my main duties involved the co-ordination of new laptops and the configuration of Remote Access to allow the sales team access to the NT network from on the road.
